Job Description
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Assist Group Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with local and overseas legislation, rules and regulations, codes or guidelines applicable to Madison Pacific Group entities
- Manage the compliance risk across Madison Pacific Group as second line of defence and maintain effective compliance policies and procedures to support our Group’s business strategies and risk appetite
- Perform due diligence (AML/KYC) and analysis on prospective or existing clients on transactional basis our corporate trust and agency business
- Handle audit examination or regulatory inspection and advise appropriate course of action to be taken and follow up on implementation of remediation plans based on audit / regulatory findings.
- Conduct ongoing compliance review to ensure compliance controls for different risk buckets in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Keep abreast of the latest development of applicable local and international regulatory requirements
- Help promote and enforce compliance culture within our Group
Requirements
- University graduate or above in Accounting, Law, Finance or business-related discipline
- 4+ years of working experience in financial industry specialising in compliance, risk management and/or internal control function
- Sound knowledge of local and/or overseas legislation, rules and regulations, codes and guidelines applicable to our business
- Practical experience in conducting compliance review program
- Good business acumen, be able to adopt pragmatic approach in resolving problems in a proactive and efficient manner
- Knowledge of FATCA/CRS regulatory reporting is highly desired
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
