ASSISTANT ACCOUNTING MANAGER/ SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

(1)    Job Description

• Manage the accounting function and supervise a team of 2 on payment processing
• Review various accounting and fiscal transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures
• Timely reconcile voyage results
• Collate, prepare, interpret and report month-end financial results of each vessel SPV
• Produce consolidated financial reports related to, account payables, account receivables, loan, expenses etc
• Liaise with external auditors for annual statutory audit and tax filing
• Drive continuous process improvement (including assessment/redesign/documentation of processes)
• Participate in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business
• Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned by the management

(2)    Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification in HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent, prior exposure with Big 4 CPA firm or equivalent auditing exposure is a MUST
• A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in the financial field, shipping industry experience preferred 
• Communicative, analytical, self-starting and with people management experience
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Commercial and business acumen
• Excellent command of English, Chinese and Mandarin
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
• Ability to stick to time constraints
• Experience of using ShipNet is preferable
