The Role

Be part of a fast-growing and dynamic environment in an asset-servicing fintech firm! To support rapid business growth, we are looking for Fund Accountant to join our Hong Kong office. The successful candidates will be responsible for the analysis and investment reporting for Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds. The candidate will be a valuable team member as he or she will use their accounting and finance expertise to add value in delivering quality service to the external clients of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting services for clients including preparing and processing transactions and financial reports;
• Provide support to clients’ investor inquires;
• Prepare fee calculations (managing fees, carried interest and waterfall) verifying that calculations are in accordance with LPA;
• Prepare investor capital and distribution notices;
• Prepare ad hoc requests regarding fund and investor specific reports as well as analysis;
• Prepare fund annual and quarterly financial reports;
• Prepare SPV accounting;
• Understand and assist clients with other reporting, such as FATCA, K1 etc.;
• Assist clients to address and resolve audit inquiries from external auditors during year-end audit;
• Participate in pre-project stage discussion with the clients and to define more detailed services model for specific clients as required;
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preferable with a CPA qualification;
• 2 years’ experience preferably with a combination of auditing and private equity. Candidate with more PE fund accounting experience will be considered for senior position
• Basic knowledge of different accounting standards (IFRS, GAAPs);
• Experience with RMB Fund accounting is a plus;
• Candidates with more experience may be considered as Senior Fund Accountant

Other Skills

• Strong organizational skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively;
• Good time management skills with ability to multi-task;
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin);
• Proficiency in Excel and other windows-based software;
• Experience with fund accounting software solutions (Investran and Altareturn) would be highly advantageous;
• Experience with Alternative investments management software (eFront) would be highly advantageous;
• Knowledge of Accounting software (Kingdee, SunSystems and Quickbook, etc.) is a plus.
