Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in Operations Department in managing the life cycle of Octopus card i.e. from card production and issuance to daily operational and support services of Octopus card
  • Manage projects, new initiatives and lead the operational staff members to deliver quality services to customers
  • Transform legacy processes for better customer services and operational efficiency, challenge the status quo and make new business initiative proposals
  • Monitor daily operations including card initialisation, personalisation, inventory management, quality control, autopay applications and payments, refund and dispute transaction processing as to ensure all these services are in accordance with KPIs by planning and allocating resources to different units
  • Devise operating procedures with proper controls in accordance with the Company’s standards and industry-best practices
  • Work closely with technical teams and business partners to continuously improve and enhance the relevant systems and workflows for better efficiency and higher customer satisfaction
  • Compile weekly and monthly MIS reports to senior management
  • Ensure all processes adhere to the relevant security, regulatory requirements and policies (e.g. HKMA, PCPD and so on), and meeting audit and compliance requirements
  • Prepare comprehensive user requirements and UAT plans for new and enhanced systems
  • Manage operating budgets of the section

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in business management or IT/ technical related disciplines
  • Minimum 12 years operations experience with at least 5 years working at a managerial level
  • Strong background in credit/ debit card operations, and/ or payment business/ technologies
  • Good knowledge of risk and compliance, in particular guidelines from the HKMA
  • Strong analytical skills and be able to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and project management skills
  • Independent, proactive and result-oriented
  • Versatile, highly adaptive in fast-moving and dynamic working environment
  • Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese including Mandarin
