A thrilling opportunity has risen in our Transaction Services team, calling for an Assistant Manager to join our Hong Kong team!

Transaction Services is a first-line business division with Computershare responsible for servicing of issuers and shareholders and undertaking operational activities such as IPO execution, Corporate Actions such as Rights Issue, Cash Offer and including dividend and payments, Share Movement regarding transfer, allotment and cross-border removal of shares, Corporate Communication and Shareholder maintenance and recovery.

A role you will love

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day to day managing of the local and offshore team to maintain a high-quality level and monitor all the corporate action activities to ensure the completeness and fulfill the relevant SLAs.

You will be expected to work with local team and the offshore processing team, will have a few staffs reporting into he or she, supporting continuous improvement and project related activity related to the role.

Other key accountabilities will include:

  • Correspond with both internal and external (offshore processing team) in response to queries on daily processing and provide support
  • Reconcile and prepare any necessary subscription reports and control summary file required to be sent to relevant internal or external clients
  • Maintain the updated operational procedure and design new risk control measurement
  • Provide support in automation or streamline of procedure
  • Escalate any abnormal issue or conduct among the team and anticipate any changes
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with all stakeholders
  • Implement and perform UAT for new system functionality

What will you bring to the role?   

To deliver excellent services to our clients, this role requires strong organisational, leadership and multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlines. You will need a degree preferably in finance in order to truly understand and succeed in this role.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Securities industry, of which 2 years in supervisory role
  • Desire to pursue a career within professional services and develop a wide range of HK compliance, governance and transaction related knowledge and experience
  • An eye for detail and experienced at delivering to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, good command in Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Resilient and composed under pressure, proactive, self-motivated, take ownership/responsibility for own work
  • Proficient in PC skills including MS Excel, Access and Word
