Our client, a PRC leading Securities firm with SFC full license, is looking for a Head of Sales Trading to join 

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Head of Global Markets and lead current team (dealers, sales traders, and sales) to further expand the Institutional Equities business offshore
• Ability and willingness to question the “status quo” and go “extra miles”
• Establish sound corporate governance structure within the team and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policy
• Lead strong governance and control, policy and procedure optimization, and incorporate risk and compliance requirement into it.
• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
• Show strong capability to manage client orders under various market conditions
• Develop strong client relationship by providing timely market color and trading ideas
• Cross sell other products and services suitable for clients
• Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions
• Manage budget and plan of the business and build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience, previous offshore sales trading execution desk build out experience preferred
• Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships, from acquisition to ownership of prominent institutional accounts
• Knowledge of equity trading, different trading strategies, equities, and market issues
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Proven negotiation and persuasion skills
• Proven ability to undertake tasks with pressure and prioritize workload effectively to meet budget and deadlines
• Fluency in additional languages desired, especially Mandarin and Cantonese
