Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is a professional who is directly responsible for care and training of the patient prior, during and after the endoscopy and surgery procedures. The nurse will assist the physician as necessary during the procedure and will continue this develop with the endoscopy and Operations theater assistants. The nurse will need to supervise the daily operation of the day procedures centre.

  Job Skills and Requirements:

• Leads the DPC(Day Procedure Centre) team to design and develop services in the day procedures centre
• Oversee the operation of Day Procedures Center
• Supervise and ensure all DPC (endoscopy and operations theater) operations comply with Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance
• Provide training to staff in DPC (endoscopy and OT)
• Manage operational guideline and Day Procedure Centre License
• Visual and audio acuity needed for job performance
• Patient and tactful, with good interpersonal skills
• Be proactive with problem-solving skills
• Perform ad-hoc duties as when required

 Education and Licensure: 

• A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong
• A valid ACLS certificate
• A post anaesthesia certificate
• Minimum 5 years working experience in endoscopy and / or operations theatre and / or day procedures center unit
• Good command of Cantonese, English & Mandarin
