Major Duties:
(a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement in Building Surveying related modules;
(b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c) To strengthen teaching support for blended teaching delivery mode, programme / module development and the development of online teaching materials;
(d) To participate in the development of in-service training programmes;
(e) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials, e.g. Project-based Learning;
(f) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
(g) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
Requirements:
(a) A relevant recognised degree in Building Surveying or equivalent, or professional qualifications, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification;
(b) At least 3 years relevant teaching / industry experience;
(c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and
(d) Applicants would have an advantage if they possess:
(i) HKIS member in Building Surveying stream; and/or
(ii) track records of linkage with industry or professional bodies.
Notes:
(1) The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written assessment in English.
(3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or work on different campuses.
