Job Purpose:
“To ensure that revenue, receipts and receivable are properly accounted for in the systems and ensure that all proceeds are promptly received”.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure accuracy of sales and sales receipts in systems, identify and follow up exceptions
- Prepare journal vouchers and assist in month end closing tasks
- Prepare reconciliations and accounting schedules
- Match the total of debit card, credit card sales and e-payment on the POS Credit Card Sales Settlement Report against that of POS Tender Report
- Prepare manual journals in Oracle Financial System for all credit card receipts in general ledger and maintain the Credit Card Sales Receivable Sub-ledger
- Submit manual sales / refund slip to card center for reimbursement of manual credit card sales
- Check and reconcile receipts from acquiring banks against the batch submission slips and follow up on any outstanding payment
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- University graduate in Finance / Accounting
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the retail industry
- Experience in audit / revenue control of sizable firm will be an advantage
- Good organization, numerical, analytical and advanced Excel skills
- Committed team player to support other team members
- Pro-active and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Oracle Retail would be a plus
