Gallery Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth running of the gallery
• Assess and select artwort
• Manage the entire sales team and ensure that they are working to meet gallery target such as image, sales, customer experience, etc.
• Strategically manage outstanding client relationships and also profiling of new collectors
• Promote and perform successful sales activities of artists' work, through both exhibitions and personal contacts
• Plan, organize, present and market exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
• Develop client lists by notifying potential clients of particular works and exhibitions, according to their interests
• Expand client database strategically
• Keep up to date with industry developments and market trends
• Arrange practical training for team member
• Build up a professional art retail team

• Bachelor Degree or above in relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years' of retail experience in luxury retail/art industry
• A strong analytical thinker, and ability to use data to drive improved customer acquisition strategies
• Effective time management skills and attention to detail
• Possess strong client base with interest in art pieces
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and mandarin
• Excellent organizational ability
• Ability and confidence to deal with VIP and artist
• Sales ability and commercial awareness
• Team-working skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
• A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for art
• Strong brand building ability and drive the gallery in a right positioning
• Administrative and IT skills, including database management
• Physical stamina for organizing and setting up exhibitions
• Knowledge in drawings, sculpture, ceramics, etc, will be an advantage
