eing a Head of Design, you are strong in fashion sense and market trends to forecast what trendy and popular fashion in coming seasons.  Your design inspiration from the world around you to create fresh and original design spirits.  You will enjoy the progress of producing in apparels and accessories. Products making based on your decision and modification in fabric, color and patterns as well as sampling designs up till final products. You may work on your own briefly or be given a brief to work towards with specifications in relating to colour, fabric and budget. You'll be typically specialised in men’s and women’s wear as well as accessories areas.

Responsibilities:-

• Create or visualise an idea to produce a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)
• Create moodboards to show clients
• Update and emerge fashion trends, adopt general factors in relating to fabrics, colours and shapes
• Plan and develop ranges, often based on the theme
• Work with others in design team, such as buyers and product development team, to develop products to meet a brief
• Liaise closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items cater the customer, market and price points
• Understand design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
• Visit trade shows and manufacturers to source, select and buy fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
• Adapt existing designs for mass production
• Develop a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervise the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations
• Negotiate with customers and suppliers
• Work with fitting models to try out your designs and let them wear the seasonal shootings
• Work for product training material based on your seasonal collection’s concept and key massages of the collection to the end customers.
• Regular travel in different regions to understand the market needs.

 Qualifications

You'll typically need a degree, HND or foundation degree in a subject that combines both technical and design skills. Relevant subjects include:

• textiles and textile design.

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree or above in fashion design, with more than 10 years of experience in fashion design of men's and women's clothing brands, professional background and deep understanding of fashion clothing
• At least 3 years of solid experience in leading a design team or function
• Proficient in the knowledge of fabrics, trims and accessories
• Familiar with design and business process of clothing, master rich industry related resources
• Have a high aesthetic level and design ability, strong sense of fashion prediction ability, can be well-utilized in product design
• High enthusiasm and passion to work
• Professional ethics
• Native English speaker
• Immediate available in highly preferable
