The job holder will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the VTC E-Shop, which aims to provide an authentic training environment for students to demonstrate their knowledge / trade skills from a practical perspective and to promote learning by doing.
Major Duties:
(a) To oversee the daily operation of the VTC E-Shop and prepare business plans for the new products / features launch;
(b) To measure, report and improve the key performance metrics and sales performance of the VTC E-Shop;
(c) To explore new opportunities, and to solicit external funding supports for the VTC E-Shop;
(d) To work closely with all stakeholders, both internal and external, for the development of the VTC E-Shop and its related projects;
(e) To establish the implementation framework of workplace learning and assessment (WLA) by using VTC E-Shop as an authentic training workplace;
(f) To take roles in the development, validation and accreditation of programmes;
(g) To act as Programme Leader and serve in Programme Board(s), other academic / management committees and workgroups as required; and
(h) To perform teaching duties and supervise student projects where necessary.
Requirements:
(a) A recognized degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b) At least 5 years of relevant experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in E-commerce or Supply Chain, or the work area relevant to the post;
(c) Experience in the establishment of a new online platform / E-commerce platform would be an advantage;
(d) Good knowledge and skills in IT applications relevant to E-commerce sectors;
(e) Proven networking capability and be able to establish linkages and forge strategic working relationships with leading companies in E-commerce sectors;
(f) Good project management, administrative, communication and team-building skills; and
(g) Good presentation skills and high level of proficiency in English, Chinese and Putonghua.
Notes:
(1) The post is in the rank of Senior Lecturer.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
