 Job duties:

• Assist the Teacher Librarians in lesson preparation

• Perform circulation, processing, shelving, repairing and other administrative duties
• Catalogue books and other library resources
• Assist readers in finding books
• Perform routine maintenances of library equipment including computers, audio-visual devices, printers, and photocopiers
• Assist in stock-taking
• Assist the Assistant Librarian in maintaining the Library budget and budget control
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Librarian, Teacher Librarians and Assistant Librarian

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in library science/studies
• Experience and strong skills in cataloguing with the Dewey Decimal Classification System
• Expertise in online searching using the internet and a range of databases
• Familiar with library management software such as Follett Destiny
• Confident in working with primary and high school teachers and students
• Strong skills with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent command of both English and Chinese
