Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the turbine auxiliary systems and balance of plant. Major duties include: -

• Ensure that maintenance work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and up to the required engineering standard.
• Monitor the assigned activities to ensure that they are conducted according to schedule, design, relevant codes of practice and within budget.
• Analyze and diagnose equipment fault and defects.
• Prepare, review and update documentation or reports of work.
• Recommend changes and innovative idea on maintenance practices to improve work efficiency, safety standards, asset performance and cost effectiveness.
• Provide on-the-job technical supervision and guidance required for contractors.
• Ensure that safe working practices are observed and works are completed to satisfaction.

Requirements:

• A Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline related plus 2 years’ relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical engineering discipline related plus 4 years’ relevant experience.
• Possess one or more of the following experiences or qualifications:
  o  Experience in mechanical equipment maintenance such as pump, valve, compressor...etc.
  o  Experience in piping maintenance and erection.
  o  Knowledge in technical drawings (i.e. P&ID...etc.)
  o  Knowledge in hot work operation and machining
• General computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
