As a software engineer joining a high-paced and fast-growing EdTech startup, we are looking for someone who can quickly adapt and take ownership of tasks at hand. Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the development team to build new features on both front end and back end 
• Designing and implementing technical solutions to problems 
• Participating in weekly planning and stand-up meetings 
• Investigating and fixing bugs and production issues

• You have web application development experience on both the front and back end
• You're comfortable working in an agile environment and iterating quickly
• You enjoy technical challenges and finding elegant solutions to complex problems
• You're a team player who enjoys collaborating with and helping others

• Fluency in at least one modern programming language
• Experience with at least one major web framework (Django, Rails, Express, etc.)
• Familiarity with React
• Experience using Git and working in a Unix-based environment

• Understanding of Redux
• Experience with other technologies in our stack (MongoDB, Docker, NodeJS, Feathers.js, Redis)
• Portfolio projects, contributions to open-source projects, or any other examples of your work you're able to share
• Experience or demonstrated passion in education technology 

• English fluency
• Conversational Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
