This Chemical Waste Treatment Centre project is a newly awarded Design, Built and Operate, DOB project for Kum Shing and our partner. The project involves improving the one and only Chemical Treatment Facility in Hong Kong for EPD of HKSAR, upgrading the existing facility into a state-of-the-art modern chemical waste treatment facility, including design, supply and installation of new incinerator and will adopt latest BIM for the facility's long term asset management.

Reporting to the Construction Manager of the Project, the appointee will be responsible to tackle technical challenges in the delivery of this rare and exciting project, with major duties include:

Responsibilities:

• Control of project performance against budget, schedule, safety and quality.
• Coordinate with design consultant & overseas suppliers on mechanical process designs for the new incinerators and control.
• Review process design & site installation issues with major overseas suppliers.
• Prepare contract submission e.g. method statement & material submission etc.
• Review of construction method & sequence, and support in resolving site constraint and problems, managing and coordinating designs to final site installations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in process design & construction; candidate with less experience or lower qualification will be considered as Engineer.
• Previous solid process design experience and / or design & build project experience will be advantageous.
• Qualification of MHKIE or equivalent is preferable.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• A team player who is willing to accept challenges and be part of an exciting project team.
• Good interpersonal, communication & problem solving skills.
• Strong sense of accountability.
