Job Description
Position Summary
Responsibilities
Hong Kong based Auction House is looking for an Operation Manager to join our team. The desired candidate will direct and co-ordinate the internal structure of the organization based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met consistently.
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee core business operating procedures across the full scope of the business
- Responsible for logistics management, inventory planning and delivery plans to support business growth
- Pro-actively identify areas of improvement, plan and implement new and revised systems to boost company effectiveness and meet company goals
- Supervise team workloads to ensure goals and deadlines are met
- Manage internal and external service providers
- Ensure systems are in place to effectively meet and exceed customer requirements in a timely manner and to assist client-facing team with maintaining and expanding long-term relationships
- To perform ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in logistics or related discipline
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong decision-making, planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Adaptable to change and driven to achieve results
- Familiar with the fine wine industry and having knowledge about the Auction industry is an advantage
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin, English and Cantonese
- Able to work well under pressure and open to occasional overtime as required
