Company Description

Our client is an international hotel group. They are looking for an experienced finance professional to join their Hong Kong finance team as Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

• Closely monitor and control costs and expenses of all departments and properties in co-ordination with heads of departments / operations
• Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting, budgeting, business forecasts and various analysis to facilitate management decisions
• Ensure that Policies and Procedures are in place and operating, or that appropriate deviations / internal control procedures are available.
• Ensuring internal control policies and procedures are operating effectively and the professional running of the accounting functions. Recommending or otherwise ensure appropriate measures are taken to maximise the financial performance of revenue, sales and hotel operations as well as asset protection.
• Operational performance review with GMs
• Reviewing/preparing Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Review and reconciliation of CAPEX request/invoices, including fixed asset register maintenance.
• Inter-company charges and maintenance, including maintaining HK cross charge invoices.
• Reviewing/performing variance analysis and internal control related matters.
• Reviewing/performing internal audits and assisting with external audits.
• Reviewing/preparing forecast, annual budget and business plan preparation as required.
• Reviewing/preparing month-end process, such as monthly revenue journal, prepayment journal, accruals journal, petty cash reconciliation and other journals.
• Co-ordinate and submit financial projections, annual budgets, revise budget and updates as require allowing Management to made business decision.

Requirements

• Degree holders in accounting or related discipline.
• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years management experience from hotel or F&B industry.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
