Our Asia Finance Department in Hong Kong is looking immediately for a highly motivated Business Planning & Controlling Manager - Discounts & Promotion (Regional)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  •    Business partner with Sales, Brand and Finance to create the discounts & promotions strategy, ensuring it is aligned with Brand positioning, Sales ambitions and Financial targets
  •  Develop and own the discounts & promotions monitoring tool in order to ensure that the discounts & promotions strategy is executed accordingly, timely flagging deviations and proposing corrective actions
  • Drive post-discounting & promotional analysis in order to provide transparency, give insights and translate them into actionable recommendations that lead to an improved strategy & planning
  •  Work with Global heads on the setting Asia’s Key Performance Indicators, cross-functionally aligned while tailored to each Sales Channel needs (D2C/B2B, Online/Offline) and ensure its accuracy and correctness
  • Lead testing for Asia region and roll-out projects that leverage on technologies such as big data analytics, machine learning & AI aiming to optimize pricing/discounts
  • Perform ad hoc comprehensive analysis in order to provide fact-based recommendations in areas such as pricing, discounts, trade margins, brand/channel cannibalization, consumer behavior, market trends and related areas      

Your Ideal Profile:

  • University degree / Education in finance, economics, business administration, accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a Regional Business Controlling role in a major multinational company from the FMCG, luxury/fashion retailing or in consulting
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience (with 3-5 years in regional role), ideally in a Discounts, Promotions, Marketing or Brand Controlling role in a major multinational company from the FMCG, luxury/fashion retailing or in consulting
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Advanced analytical skills, problem solving skills and financial modelling skills
  • A proven track record in business partnering and decision support with clear communication skills, including the ability to boil down complex issues into simple messages and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate with other teams to deliver results
  •  Fluent communications skills in English, both written and oral
  •  Strong SAP / BW user and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (incl. financial modelling and scenario analysis) and PowerPoint
