Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance Division, the incumbent is responsible for managing and supervising the Regulatory Compliance Department;
- To lead and managing the Regulatory Compliance Department in providing compliance advisory support to various business and support units of the Bank in ensuring compliance with statutory rules, codes and regulations;
- To act as the contact point with various regulators;
- To formulate policy / guidance on regulatory and compliance governance matters;
- To prepare reports and escalate key compliance issues to senior management;
- To co-ordinate and provide advice on submission of applications for regulatory approval of new business initiatives
- To develop, formulate and implement compliance monitoring program;
- To provide training on compliance related matters and policies/guidance.
- To foster the compliance culture of the Bank;
- To handle any ad hoc projects or assignments.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Legal or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in banking / financial services industry with compliance / audit / risk management / internal control experience. with solid managerial experience;
- Professional membership in Banking / Finance related professional bodies;
- Sound knowledge and strong understanding of regulatory requirements /laws, rules and regulations of various regulatory bodies;
- Strong leadership, presentation, communication and report writing skills, in both English and Chinese;
- Strong logical thinking and analytical skills in problem solving;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with internal clients / external clients and regulatory bodies.
