Job Description
FINANCE OFFICE
Associate Accountant (Self-Financing Operations Section) (Ref. 220819016-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) perform general accounting duties, including financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting;
(b) support the financial management of self-financed programmes and activities organised by the University;
(c) provide support for enhancement and administration of accounting and financial management information systems;
(d) handle general office administration; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or her delegate.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognized degree in Accounting or related disciplines;
(b) a professional accounting qualification or equivalent;
(c) at least two years of post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing or other related fields;
(d) proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with solid knowledge of Excel/Access VBA being an advantage;
(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(f) good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
