Job Description
The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the Part-time Lecturer / Project Supervisor posts offered by SHAPE (Sha Tin) for the full-time degree programme, BSc (Hons) Environmental Science, in the academic year 2022/23.

For Part-time (Daytime) Project Supervisor:

Major Duties:
For Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer:
- To conduct teaching, tutorials and laboratory supervision;
- To mark and provide guidance on students’ assessments;
- To develop, review and prepare teaching and learning packages with both international and local contexts and practices and todevelop assessment materials, where necessary;
- To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration, including serving in academic and other related meetings; and
- To participate in school projects and functions and attend professional training and/or seminars, where necessary.
For Part-time (Daytime) Project Supervisor:
- To supervise research projects at bachelor’s degree level;
- To mark and provide guidance on student’s assessments and projects;
- To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration, including serving in academic and other related meetings; and
- To participate in school projects and functions and attend professional training and/or seminars, where necessary.
- A recognised Master’s degree in related disciplines;
- At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience in related industries; and
- For the post of Project Supervisor, experience in research, dissertation / project supervision is preferable.
Note:
The post of "Project Supervisor" is in the rank of Lecturer.
