About the role
You will provide leadership to the team to strategize and implement overall business strategies and create an environment that empowers the team members to strive for innovation, embrace change, and have an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial spirit, while responsible for developing product acquisition strategy by identifying key partners to onboard into KKday’s platforms and collaborating with the internal stakeholders to maximize revenue growth.

You will provide leadership to the team to strategize and implement overall business strategies and create an environment that empowers the team members to strive for innovation, embrace change, and have an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial spirit, while responsible for developing product acquisition strategy by identifying key partners to onboard into KKday’s platforms and collaborating with the internal stakeholders to maximize revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Stakeholders / Team leadership
- Lead, motivate and inspire the team to develop and execute BD plans
- Build & maintain key partners / suppliers contracts & network
- Collaborate with the internal teams, including Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, HR, and Finance
- Analyze competitive environment and performance to identify areas of BD opportunities and potential threats
- Develop commercial strategy across all verticals (i.e., Attraction, hotel, tickets, F&B) by identifying & acquiring key partners / suppliers to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage
- Develop and implement a consistent business plan and budget, sales, and pricing strategies.
- Lead BD team to identify, negotiate and communicate contract terms with key suppliers to seal agreements.
- Communicate business strengths and brand value to partners / suppliers
- Engage key partners / suppliers and provide the best solutions to address their business needs and maximize their GMV / Profit potential with KKday
- Understand key partners / supplier’s products and collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns to drive effectiveness
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or Business-related disciplines
- 6 years of working experience in a Business Development or equivalent role, ideally in a high-growth environment, OTA, or eCommerce (include team leading experience)
- Experienced in developing BD strategy to acquire key suppliers & collaborate with both internal teams to support business objectives with a proven record
- Good understanding of the travel industry and strong industry networks
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to succeed in a fast pace, start-up environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify drive short-term and long-term BD opportunities to drive GMV & Profit growth
- Highly effective communication with fluency in the local language and English.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and business management skills
- Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Proactively seek innovative opportunities to drive sales.
- Have a passion for the travel tech industry.
