Your role:

Reporting to the Head of Group Taxation, the Company is looking for a Vice President, Group Taxation, who will manage relevant tax affairs for the Group including the following:

• Assist in implementing optimization strategies concerning cash tax and tax risk management
• Provide tax support for the Group’s mergers and acquisitions, divestments, corporate reorganizations and financing arrangements, etc.
• Manage others to carry out the tax operations for the Group’s domestic and international businesses
• Work in collaboration with Group Finance Team, Group Legal Office, Group HR, other Corporate Functions and different Business Units on evaluating and implementing sustainable tax reporting and compliance as well as tax internal control procedures
• Manage transfer pricing for the Group (CbCR, Master File) and the relevant entities (Local Files)
• Advise internal stakeholders on BEPS 2.0 and manage changes required within the Group
• Handle tax accounting matters including review of tax provisions, tax reconciliations, effective tax rates, current and deferred tax balance sheet accounts, ensuring appropriate measurement of unrecognized tax benefits, etc.
• Manage tax controversial matters for the relevant entities worldwide
• Assist the Head of Group Taxation in developing tax policies and providing advocacy support relating to jurisdictions where the Group has a significant presence

To succeed in this role:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
• Minimum 12 years’ relevant HK, PRC and international taxation experience in sizable companies
• Preferably with working experience in international accounting or law firm(s) and MNC(s) specializing in the TMT sector
• Good team player with flexible mindset. Excellent communication and people skills should be demonstrated
• Capable of managing significant projects simultaneously and independently under tight deadlines
• Proficient in both spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua (preferred)
• Suitable candidates with less working experience will be considered the position of Assistant Vice President, Group Taxation
