Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and co-ordinate the statutory reporting, compliance, and annual audits for China and the Region in compliance with Arup Group’s standard and external regulations
- Liaise with external auditors and Global Statutory team for regular updates of reporting standards and ensure all accounting practices are complied with the corporate policies and guidelines
- Review and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, including month-end closing process and accounts reconciliation
- Lead and perform financial projection and analyses in collaboration with the FP&A team during the planning and budgeting process, and other ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned
- Drive system change and process standardization to optimize the quality and efficiency of accounting functions, and support the global initiatives in project
- Support in mentoring and coaching accounting staffs in China and other regional offices to ensure they have knowledge and skills required for their duties
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- At least 7 years of relevant experience or at least 1 year of post-qualified experience in sizeable corporation or MNC. Big 4 and hand-on experience in APAC countries is a plus
- Qualified/chartered accountant or equivalent from professional accounting institution is preferred
- Experience in system process implementation with a proven track record of success
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with people at all levels
- Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
