The Company is looking for a Group Tax Manager who will be responsible for all tax functions including advisory, tax planning and tax reporting and compliance of Global Business

Your role:

• Handle internal tax reporting for the Global Business Unit entities; maintain and improve the tax internal tax controls
• Manage external firms and gather information from the respective Finance teams during the tax compliance process, including VAT/ GST return filings, and transfer pricing documentation reporting in Hong Kong and in different regions
• Ensure all internal tax reporting obligations are appropriately complied with
• Participate in Global Business’s M&A projects on ad hoc basis and provide tax support in  various due diligence exercises
• Review and address transfer pricing issues and recommend adjustments
• Manage tax risks across the Global operations and handle local tax enquiries, disputes and litigations
• Provide tax advice on cross-border business transactions and projects for the Global Business Unit
• Work with other Group Tax members on preparing and filings of PCCW Group’s Country-by-country reports
• Assist the Head of Group Taxation in developing tax policies and provide advocacy support relating to jurisdictions where Global Business Unit has a presence

To succeed in the role:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience gained in tax department of Big Four accounting firm /MNC
• Sound knowledge of international taxation
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Independent, organized, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good command of both spoken and written English & Chinese
• Proficient in MS office
