We are currently seeking for an Assistant Accountant who will support our Accounting Team.

Assistant Accountant

• Verify and process the accounting transactions including purchase invoices, revenue receipts, credit card payments, vendor disbursements, employee reimbursements, debit/credit notes to align with the set budget.
• Vendor and donor database maintenance.
• Job Costing computation, cost allocations and fund disbursements in alignment with policies and procedures. Identify and report variances to the supervisor.
• Assist in bank reconciliations.
• Bank balance maintenance and liaisons.
• Participate in preparing departmental budget.
• Assist in preparing the annual audit schedules and presentations.
• Filing, storage and general administration duties including meeting arrangements
• Participate in ad hoc project activities and any other tasks as assigned.
• Reports to Senior Finance Director

Qualifications

• Degree holder in accounting / business / commerce or similar discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting commercial industry preferred
• Experience in financial accounting systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office application
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attitude.  Organized and able to work in multi-tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Familiar with church / non profit environment is preferred
