Job Description

Asia-based family office is seeking high calibre professional to join their team to support our group's Head of Tax and Compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Accounting

  • Conduct tax research and ongoing tax data analysis. Prepare worksheets on tax data for tax filing management.
  • Work with in-house teams and professional firms to ensure orderly delivery of tax compliance work products, including high level project oversight, advising technical issues, and reviewing tax forms prepared as needed.

AEOI Compliance and Reporting

  • Prepare workpaper and data input for FI entities' FATCA/CRS compliance, including annual return filing with local tax authority and ensuring internal compliance manuals are up to date and procedures properly followed
  • Gather and prepare information for filing of annual Economic Substance reports by local agents
  • Support KYC and DD requests from banks/investments, including the preparation of FATCA/CRS self-certification forms

Tax Advisory and Consulting

  • Assist with tax planning, compliance, and preparation of tax advisory proposals on wealth management
  • Assist with tax consultancy services for business/investment operations, including performing tax research and drafting tax memos


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in finance or accounting, CPA a plus
  • Min. 3 years of experience working in international firm as tax accountant/advisor; experience with US individual/trust tax returns a plus
  • Knowledgeable and experience with AEOI compliance and reporting a plus
  • Hands-on experience in conducting research on basic to moderately complex tax concepts
  • Detail oriented with excellent project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
