Claims Manager, Medical – Well-known Conglomerate

Our client is a Well-known Conglomerate in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for a Claims Manager, Medical to lead and drive the team towards the next height in claims processing.

Job Description:

• To lead, mentor and supervise a team to process individual health claims.
• Responsible for the day to day claims operation duties within the team, ensuring valid claims are assessed according to policy’s terms & benefits, approved and paid within the delegation of authority.
• Ensure that team meets or exceeds the performance targets.
• Provide on the job training to enhance the competencies of the team in better handling the portfolios assigned.
• Support or provide training to intermediaries or customers on claims processes or policy coverage.
• Ensure operational efficiency through timely review of processes or keeping up with business needs, and make relevant changes to processes, people and system to better support the business.
• To participate actively and promptly within given timelines on projects and represent claims perspective and identify requirements working with internal departments.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder with at least 5 years working experience in the claims department managing health / medical claims
• Excellent working knowledge of claim assessment in the relevant products
• Experience in insurance company / medical group would be an advantage
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
• Strong customer service and complaint handling skills
• Great command in written and spoken English and Chinese
