Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle group consolidated accounts, including account receivable, account payable and month-end closing, etc.
- Assist in monthly account closing as well as analyzing and investigating variances
- Monitor liquid capital
- Engage in Financial Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting analysis across several entities of the Group
- Assist in SFC reporting and compliance including monitoring, FRR and other regulatory filings
- Participate in formulation and execution of accounting guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Ensure the procedure manuals are kept up-to-date and the required control procedures are properly implemented
- Work collaboratively with other Finance & Accounting colleagues to identify working capital best practices to optimize internal processes, and
- Assist in any ad-hoc duties when required
- Degree holder in Business, Finance and/or Accounting. Bachelor/Master’s degree is preferred
- Professional certification, such as the CPA is an advantage
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Financial Accountant, Controller, or similar position
- Experience in Securities, Futures accounting, and margin financing
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
- Having knowledge of FRR is preferred
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles is required (IFRS or HK Reporting Standards) as well as audit matters
- Knowledge of FlexSystem & MYOB is an advantage
