Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of operational activities of the Settlement Department to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of operation;
- Work closely and coordinate with inter-departments related to Settlement business in compliance with bank policies and internal guidelines;
- Establish departmental objective to enhance current workflow, streamline operation and ensure overall operation risk of the department is properly identified;
- Provide adequate information, control and raining for the prevention of money laundering and suspicious transactions to settlement staff members ensuring to comply with bank regulatory and internal requirement;
- Review and access department operation procedure manual to mitigate operational risk;
- Improve system process and operational risk control;
- Participate in UATs and coach staff members for new products operation to ensure the smooth operation for the Department; and
- Perform other ad hoc projects or assignments.
Requirements:
- University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines;
- Minimum 15 years’ working experience in managing treasury/ securities settlement and remittance operations and project management in banking industry; in which minimum 10 years at managerial position;
- Sound product knowledge on Treasury Structured Products and be familiar with the processing of CMU, RTGS, SWIFT, CCASS system processing and Terminal operations;
- Comprehensive knowledge in global clearing and payment systems for international fund transfer regulations;
- Excellent understanding of financial markets and products with the ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis;
- Exposure in workflow/procedure review and internal control;
- Good communication and strong leadership skills and
- Well-versed in spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua would be an advantage.
