Job responsibilities

• Manage investment portfolios or clients’ accounts in various secondary equity markets (mainly HK market and A-share market) through proven investment strategies in order to achieve relative or absolute investment return targets;
• Provide research support for investment strategies from multiple perspectives, including macroeconomics, international relations, policy changes, industry cycles, style rotation, business models, valuation systems, and financial indicators;
• Learn and familiarize with various investment strategies, conduct due diligence on external mutual and private secondary market equity funds, match with client needs, and provide investment recommendations;
• Communicate with clients about investment objectives and subsequent investment returns;
• Determine a client’s appropriate level of risk based on the client's time horizon, risk preferences, return expectations, and market conditions;
• Cooperate and work as a team with colleagues from other departments to provide investment and research support.

Job Requirements

• Masters degree in business, finance, investment or relevant disciplines;
• Holder of SFC licenses for Type 4 and 9 regulated activities; 
• Proven experience in equity investment and financial assets management as a portfolio manager in a financial institution;
• Strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management particularly as it relates to China A shares;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• A team player with strong adaptability to different tasks and work;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
