Job Description

Position Summary

This position offer the opportunity to join the BAU section of our wealth management operations team, provide business support to the front office staff, ensure the completeness of the daily pre-operational control and contribute to operational permanent control framework.

This initial 6 months contract opportunity will allow you join a small, dynamic team that focuses growth, development, and stability.

Direct Responsibilities
  • To assist section head to perform daily pre-operational control of RM/MA’s & client’s instructions and ensure the transactions are handled properly in accordance with the bank procedures/guidelines.
  • To closely coordinate with Regional Processing Centre (“RPC”) for Corporate Action news and ensure timely execution of front office instructions. Monitor and review RMs/Clients’ election on Corporate actions and Event Summary to RPC for further processing.
  • To handle daily operations and perform pre-operational checking in securities transfer, physical scrip depository/withdrawal, fund Transfer, FPS payment processing, IVS local cheque clearing & MRCS Autopay clearing.
  • To handling disclosure of securities holdings
  • To be customer-focused and maintain a high quality service standard in liaison with RM/ MA / RPC / ISPL and other stakeholders.
  • To coordinate with RPC/ISPL for timely execution of client’s instructions.
  • Handle general inquiries from RM/MA, RPC & ISPL related to BAU issue.
  • To prepare daily transaction volume statistics and meet assignment deadline.
  • To provide backup support to the client service section whenever necessary as assigned by section head/ department head.
Contributing Responsibilities
  • To support trade monitoring and report preparation for CIES account
  • To support daily operations in IPO & placement.
  • Handle pre-ops checking on account closure
  • To support daily operations in foreign cheque clearing.
  • Deceased account handling.
  • Report distribution to RM/MA
  • Perform cheque book order
  • Maintain warehouse record and arrange shipment of daily transaction files to warehouse regularly
  • To participate in project and ad hoc assignments e.g. new system implementation, UAT, BCP and DR.
  • Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan.
  • Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
  • Solid working experience in payment and securities operations.
  • Good knowledge in account operations and general banking operations
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint…etc).
  • Take initiatives, responsible and motivated.
  • Good interpersonal skill, attentive to details and accuracy.
  • Committed to customers, diligent, adaptability to changing environment
Qualifications
  • Degree holder in Business related discipline with at least 3 years relevant banking experience.
  • Experience in middle & back office operations in a sizable financial institution is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in securities operations and Corporate Actions handling is preferred.
