Requirements

• Holder of an acceptable university degree or an equivalent qualification in the field of civil engineering, with 10 years of proven working experience in design, construction or maintenance of highway structures/bridges.  OR
• A member of (i) the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers; or (ii) the Institution of Civil Engineers; or (iii) the Institution of Structural Engineers; or (iv) another institution with equivalent standing in a civil or structural engineering discipline, with  2 years of post-qualification experience in design, construction or maintenance of highway structures/bridges; 

Responsibilities  

• Responsible for all technical aspects of the inspection and maintenance of the highway structures;
• Prepares reports on technical issues or special measures;
• Identifies non-routine defects / problems;
• Analyses and interprets instrumentation readings;
• Carries out adverse weather duty or emergency duty in accordance with Company procedures;
• Complies with the Company Safety Plan, Company Quality Procedures and departmental working instructions.
• Conducts in-house design works;

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Deputy Highway Maintenance Engineer.
