Arup Programme and Project Management is inviting high calibre talent to support our business expansion for the increasing market coverage. The candidate will be working on high profile and large scale projects in the regions.
- Design manager role of major development in Hong Kong
- Technical knowledge, management and organizational skills
- Design and tender documentation experience in large scale new development projects
- Project management in design / tender stage and report to Project Leader
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, project stakeholders and end-users
- Drive design and tendering programme planning including user engagement activities, design development, statutory submissions, approvals and tender documentation, etc
- Identify design risks with mitigation strategies to maintain key project milestones
- Chair meetings related to design and tendering matters, drive the decision-making processes
- Ensure successful endorsement by relevant parties for design and tender documents
Qualifications and Experiences required:
- Degree in Architecture / Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Membership of relevant professional institution(s)
- Minimum 10 years of experience for the position of Senior Project Manager; candidates with less experience might be considered for position of Project Manager
- Experience in design management or project management will be advantageous
- Conversant with Hong Kong building codes and ordinances
- Creative, self-motivated with good interpersonal and influencing communication skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels
