Job Description
- Designing and supervising the construction of structural framework, foundation, piling and site formation works for Government building projects;
- Advising on maintenance to the structures of existing Government buildings;
- Checking structural submissions prepared by consultants;
- Carrying out project management duties;
- Examine the technical submissions from contractor’s designers to facilitate submission approval;
- Coordinate with subcontractor, contractor’s designer and other parties to resolve technical matters on site;
- Corporate Members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Structural or Civil Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975, or equivalent;
- Higher Diploma or above in the Civil Discipline, experience in structural engineering design and practice or related discipline;
- Minimum 4 years of structural / civil engineering experience;
- Experience in Contractor or Working with Contractor is an advantage;
- Experience with building works is an advantage;
- Familiar with structural analysis software (e.g. Autodesk RSA) is an advantage;
- Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
