The Resident Building Services Inspector shall assist the Project Building Services Engineer and the client’s representatives in technical and site matters and the duties shall include, but not be limited to the followings:


Responsibilities:

• Carry out duties in all aspects of supervision of building services work on site within the contracts and the maintenance of site records
• Verify the materials on site do follow the approved brand/model and satisfy the requirements as stipulated in the contract document
• Carry out daily site inspection and prepare site photographs and bi-weekly report as record
• Voice out site problems and respond to urgent information requested by the contractors
• Assist to identify and resolve coordination problems on site
• Seek advice and clarification from the design office on any uncertainties and problems in relation to the E&M design, prior to actual site installation whenever possible
• Liaise and co-ordinate with other contractors, utility companies, client and government departments on site matters
• Monitor the E&M sub-contractors’ compliance with the contract documents and report on non-compliance to the client/ project team for action
• Monitor the site installation progress and report the cause of delay
• Monitor the site execution of Works Instruction issued by the Architect
• Check the quality and workmanship of daily installation works do follow the approved shop drawings/combined services drawings and prepare defects list
• Assist in the checking of any site measurements of building services works done by contractors
• Monitor and follow up the progress of defects rectification for the E&M installations
• Inspect and witness the T&C works and endorse the testing records
• Attend site meetings and project meetings as necessary
• Carry out all such other duties as directed by the Project Building Services Engineer

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or technical institute / technical college, or equivalent
• Possess 8 years’ relevant site supervision experience in building services installation
• Good understanding of the construction works and to oversee, inspect, check, test and examine materials used, the Contractor’s workmanship, and installation method and procedure employed for all building services and E&M works
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

This position will be on a contract basis to work at a luxurious residential development in mid-level, Hong Kong for around 12-18 months, which may be lengthened or shortened subject to project development. Standard working hours will be 5.5 days per week. Attractive remuneration package with gratuity will be offered to the successful candidates.
