Job Description
- to check and ensure the materials/equipment proposed/used and workmanship
- to oversee, inspect, test and examine the materials/equipment used, the workmanship, the installation method and procedure
- to identify defective or substandard BS works, materials and workmanship which do not comply with the ER, specifications, drawings, approved design construction procedures and testing and commissioning procedures, and to co-ordinate and witness the performance of appropriate tests and remedial works on the defective or substandard BS works;
- to communicate among the Designers, the Contractor, user departments, the Supervising Officer and his representatives the site technical staff, the Building Services Co-ordinator(s), the Testing and Commissioning Team and the BS Designer, etc on BS related matters, in connection with the Site Agent on builder’s work and Residential Site Staff on other disciplines;
- to resolve and report design or installation problems or site difficulties in BS works on site arising from unforeseen circumstances;
- to review and fine tune the design drawings to match with the actual site condition;
- to monitor the co-ordination of BS works requirements in connection with builder’s works, report on the consequential changes to the BS design,
- to attend regular and ad hoc meetings;
- to assist the Supervising Officer or his representatives in the investigation and to prepare report on the acceptable or otherwise the use of materials;
- to participate in the regular site safety, health and environmental checking; and
- to undertake any other duties in connection with the site construction activities or in connection with the BS work as instructed by Supervising Officer or his representatives.
- Degree holders in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or accepted equivalent with minimum 2 years’ relevant local experience
- Completed in Scheme A HKIE training.
