Job Description

The Department

The Broadcasting Operations team is responsible for live coverage of horse racing in Hong Kong, production of related promotional video, formatting betting and racing-related information into TV graphic displays and documentaries for on-air at TV stations as well as display on the giant display screens and closed-circuit TV network at the racecourses.  The Chinese Wagering Program Team in Broadcasting Operations is responsible for producing and packaging racing television programs, both for local broadcasting by terrestrial free-to-air television, pay cable television, overseas simulcasting operations of which betting on Hong Kong’s horse racing is operated.

The job holder reports to Audio & Visual Operations Manager (Racing Support) and is responsible for camera operations and maintenance. S/he will support the racing-related shooting and other video production work as required.

The Job

You will:

  • Manage professional TV camera operations during race meetings
  • Handle Morning track-work shooting at both racecourses
  • Monitor Studio TV program production
  • Support in-house video productions
  • Oversee TV studio and equipment repair & maintenance
  • Provide trainings on technical skills for part-time camerapersons
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s business
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor degree in Multimedia, Film & Video, Photography or relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 5 year’s camera working experience for TV or Video Production house
  • Solid knowledge of different camera and equipment modes of operation, camera technology
  • Ability to effectively grasp the camera operation skills
  • Post-production knowledge an advantage
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English, Mandarin an advantage
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and self-motivation
  • Ability to work on weekends and public holidays
