Responsibilities.

• Researches global retail trends and new product development suitable for the ALDI target consumer or market.
• Prepares design proposals applicable to ALDI consumer groups to support the International Buying (IB) strategy in a professional and timely manner.
• Attends relevant trade fairs for research and product knowledge development where required.
• Assists in competitive analysis, market research and trend analysis in order to prepare appealing and relevant product proposals to IB buying teams.
• Communicates and collaborates with IB Design Team.
• Generates high quality design concepts and sketches including detailed specifications for colours, materials and details on product proposals.
• Supports in work templates design such as Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentations and other working files.
• Support the training of employees and trainees from other areas.
• Ensures the efficient flow of communication, correspondence and information with internal and external parties.

Your Profile.

• At least (Non-Degree) Tertiary education required.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience, preferably gained in sourcing/buying offices, working with knits and wovens across multiple product categories for the casual wear market.
• Able to prepare prints and patterns is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn.
• Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills.
• Proficient in using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• General knowledge of MS office.
• High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness.
• Experience with international markets (e.g. USA, UK, EU, AU) is a must
