Your Mission

• Research material trends (Fibres / Prices / Newness) and present market relevant fabric concepts to Design and Product development teams at season's start ensuring cohesive material stories, across BU's.
• Manage the selection of the most appropriate fabrics and suppliers (Location / Lead-time / Quality / Performance and Price)
• Manage time line execution on fabric developments
• Coordination on the availability of Sample Yardage
• To approve BASE Test reports for each fabric and issue material fabric reference code for base fabric (construction) / versions (coloration / Finish / Origin)
• Resolve / filter borderline performing fabrics prior to uploading into the material "Buy Ready" tool box
• Execute dual / multiple sourcing across regions of core fabrics, with the objective of replicating identical fabric qualities.
• Fabric consolidation in order to reduce the development lead time ie BU level and mill level. Ensure each development and sample process can meet development & bulk production key dates - on time developments.
• Validate fabric RSL compliance
• Update and verify FULL fabric specification in Material Repository (which is input by mills / suppliers)
• Sense check ALL CARRY OVER fabrics for their continued physical and color fastness performance and RSL compliance

Your Talent

• High Diploma or above in Textile / fashion, Textile Chemistry or related discipline
• Possesses 8-10 years of relevant experience in functional fabrics (both knit and woven) is highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of textile production, fabric construction, functional performance properties, fiber, and yarn dyeing, all over printing and panel printing techniques and finishing processes
• Testing laboratory experience is preferable. Knowledge of RSL requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
• Good computer skills (Excel / Pivots / Data Mapping / Power Point)
• Excellent team players
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
