We are looking for a Buying Manager to help us transform the way rugs are sold online! This is a full-time role.

The role
We are looking for a stellar team member. You’ll join our experienced Head of Buying in shaping a strong team culture that you can be proud of.
You will be responsible for maintaining good supplier relationships, whilst utilizing high-level negotiation skills to establish ideal terms and pricing for Miss Amara. This role is also responsible for new product development, translating trends and designs into unique, first-to-market merchandise concepts and ranges.

The role
We are looking for a stellar team member. You’ll join our experienced Head of Buying in shaping a strong team culture that you can be proud of.
You will be responsible for maintaining good supplier relationships, whilst utilizing high-level negotiation skills to establish ideal terms and pricing for Miss Amara. This role is also responsible for new product development, translating trends and designs into unique, first-to-market merchandise concepts and ranges.
You will:
- Driving improvement in the buying and merchandising cycle including sell through analysis and inventory
- Devise and long and short-term merchandising plans based on past sales and trends, fully build out assortment by developing a comprehensive strategy for optimization
- Develop a team of buyers to think strategically, and approach orders with a focus on business KPIs and company goals. Provide coaching to ensure direct reports are able to meet and exceed the requirements of the role
- Lead development of projects from range review to identify assortment opportunities
- Establish vendor relationships to obtain favourable terms of agreement that mitigate erosion of margin
- Find opportunities within current work-flow to improve productivity both internally and cross-functionally, excellent collaborator and bridge builder
Our new Buying Manager will have:
- Knowledge in omnichannel merchandising is necessary.
- Good understanding of the online retail landscape across markets.
- Good command of retail math concepts, applications.
- Proven track-record of reaching sales targets, improving processes and managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to think strategically and approach challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills,with the ability and confidence to liaise at all levels.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
