JOBTITLE:                          Head of Sales – Asia Pacific          
RESPONSIBLETO:            General Manager– Asia Pacific       

MAINLOCATION:               Hong Kong  

Overview:

Working alongside all APG Departments, ensuring all customer expectations are met, and where possible exceeded. Building and developing long term relationships with APG customers that maximizes all opportunities, to ensure each Client relationship continues to develop to reach its growth potential and beyond. Utilize connections and industry knowledge to open new business in South East Asia and develop and grow these new business relationships. 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the relationship with key existing accounts, growing and developing current accounts through up-selling and cross selling of APG products.
  • Take ownership of and manage tender processes, as well as requests for quotations for current customers, in collaboration with relevant departments and management team
  • Oversee the onboarding of new products for current customers and new customers
  • Liaise with all relevant internal departments to ensure that all customer deadlines and requirements are met
  • Have a detailed understanding of APG’s strategy and objectives and to take these into consideration in all aspects of the client development approach
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Develop proposals that speaks to the new client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients in SEA
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships 

Essential Skills:

  • Strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, the overall management of the client relationship and retention activities
  • Previous experience in Account management of major national accounts or territory sales
  • Strong account management, interpersonal and relationship building skills 
  • A positive, pro-active, go-get-um attitude
  • Customer centric approach
  • Demonstrated customer focused leadership ability, displays strong leadership qualities, decision making abilities and strong business judgement
  • Highly self motivated
  • Knowledge and experience of International courier, e-commerce and freight businesses are essential
Additional Requirements:
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed above the post holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Managing Director – Asia Pacific from time-to-time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
  • To participate in the annual performance appraisal process and objective scheme.
  • To work in accordance with all APG policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
