Job Description

In support of the Government’s Job Creation Scheme under the Anti-epidemic Fund, we are now inviting applications for the following position under a one-year fixed-term contract:

You will be responsible for:

  • assisting in identifying and cultivating relationship between the museum and artists or groups from different art disciplines through delivering and managing a wide variety of public programmes such as workshops, drop-in activities and performances;
  • creating and developing the content of inter-disciplinary learning programmes with a focus on visual art, design, architecture and moving image;
  • conducting research, designing programmes and training resources for interested parties who are supporting the museum’s community engagement initiatives; 
  • assisting in developing museum’s long-term planning for public programmes, with an aim to expand participation and engagement for different visitors; and
  • assisting the Learning and Interpretation team in all events and activities with administrative support. 

 You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Art History, Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Cultural Management or equivalent;
  • have at least 4 years of work experience in coordinating, planning and implementing learning programmes for the general public; preferably in an arts and cultural organisation;
  • have administrative experience preferably in project management in any arts and cultural organisations;
  • possess strong project coordination, research and interpersonal skills;
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment;
  • be highly-organised and detail-oriented; and
  • have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese.
