JOB OVERVIEW
The Program Officer is a full-time role under Generation Hong Kong, reporting to the Program
Manager. He / she will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the daily operations of a youth-employment project. A two-year contract employment will be offered to the successful
candidate. Permanent employment will be subject to mutual agreement between Generation Hong Kong and the individual after the contract ends.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Overall Project Coordination: implement the day-to-day operations and delivery of the
    project to ensure the goals and objectives are achieved throughout the two-year period;
    consolidate feedback and data related to the trainee’s journey during the traineeship for the Program Manager to shape the recommendations for strengthening the project’s
    operational model and adoption in the long-run.
  • Trainee Recruitment: collaborate with marketing team to plan, develop and implement
    recruitment strategy of trainees, such as on-campus activities and other online / offline
    promotions; coordinate and manage the logistics of the end-to-end journey of traineeship application, selection (including screening, test and interview) and matching;
  • Traineeship Support:
    • Facilitate the organization of traineeship project briefing, capacity building, kick-off / graduation ceremony, industry forums and relevant events.
    • Handle and / or direct any trainee’s enquiries related to the traineeship to respective project partners, including convenors / employers / trainer.
    • Support traineeship check-ins between convenors / employers and trainees to achievement project goals.
  • Research / Project Evaluation Support: support research and project partners to collect
    ongoing feedback and / or evaluation data of trainees for analysis; provide recommendations for enhancing and optimizing the overall project / operational model.
  • Publicity / Marketing Support: work closely with project partners and cross-functional teams to identify success stories of convenors / employers / trainees for publicity and marketing effort of the project.
  • Ensure consistent communications with respective project partners, such as funder’s team, trainers, trainees, convenors, employer partners, external vendors and internal crossfunctional teams, to provide regular updates on project outcomes and insights into the project.
  • Graduates Engagement: engage and maintain close relationships with graduated trainees for building a community of the project in the long-run; leverage graduated trainees for future recruitment and publicity / marketing efforts of the project.
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the management.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 - 2 years of working experience in NGO / education / business management / project
    management (extensive contacts within NGO / education / human resources landscape will be an advantage).
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptive to changes, resilient and innovative mindset that takes ownership for targets, and seeks opportunities for improvement / growth of the program.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills with a track record of managing projects and delivering operational targets.
  • Professional demeanour, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail.
  • Open-minded and open to frequent feedback from learners and the leadership team.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude, drive for excellence and ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment to achieve the
    program targets and objectives.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese) is a must.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with educational institutions, and / or has knowledge of current trends, issues, and the stakeholders in the skills training sector.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
