Job Description

Applications are invited for the above vacancy in Investment Planning Branch of Asset Management Department. Reporting to a senior engineer, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

 Major duties would include:

  • Administrate Investment Ranking & Benefit Tracking System for the Power Systems Business Group (PSBG)
  • Support the development of the 10-year capital investment plan and budgeting activities of PSBG
  • Assess justifications and budget details of individual projects and investment options from various departments of PSBG
  • Evaluate and prioritize power system projects with due consideration of investment optimization, resources allocation, shareholders’ interests and customer needs
  • Support the administration of Risk Assessment and Management System of PSBG by coordinating with various departments of PSBG and other business units

 Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably in electrical engineering
  • At least three years’ experience in engineering functions of power systems, preferably with some exposure to risk assessment and management
  • MHKIE or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of CLP Power’s planning, budgeting and documentation procedures would be an advantage
  • Knowledge in computer programming for process automation would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with CLP Power Safety Rules, engineering standards, codes of practice and the relevant statutory regulations would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese and English; ability to communicate in Putonghua would be an advantage
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, good team player, analytical and able to work under pressure and tight schedule
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
