Job description:

The Applications SW Team guides and assists customers from project start to mass production with implementation of the Qorvo IoT silicon into their products. You work closely together with our customers and your efforts are highly visible in their end products.

You manage the work backlog and set priorities for the APAC application SW team. You work closely together with Qorvo’s sales and marketing organization and our customers to understand customer needs and project schedules and align Qorvo’s support activities to these requirements. You are the point-of-contact for our customers on the Qorvo SW

Your teams’ mission is to win new designs and reduce the time to market for our customers’ projects by focusing on three pillars:

1. Technical sales – engage in and be the technical support our sales organization needs when promoting our products to new customers.
2. SW support – define and plan the SW support taken up in the team (integration and platform porting, debugging customer reported issues, developing new feature requests).
3. Continuous improvement of our development kits – by closely collaborating with other engineering teams in Qorvo

You will liaise with our customers’ engineering teams and build up an intimate customer/supplier relationship so that customers will see Qorvo as a key partner and not just a supplier. Our customers will look at you as the expert on the Qorvo IoT chips, IoT standards and technologies (IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee, Thread, Matter, Bluetooth Low Energy, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Excellent communicator towards both internal and external customers.
• You openly communicate and share information across teams. Proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• +3yr experience managing a team of embedded software engineers
• Experienced SW developer (c programming language, bare-metal, Embedded Linux)
• Experience in a technical customer support team. Experience working in semi-conductor application support teams is an asset
• Experience with wireless standards like ZigBee, Bluetooth Low Energy or Thread is an asset
