Specialism: Building Services
Major Duties :
(a) To assist Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Management Officer, inspect and supervise contractors in new building projects, repair and maintenance (R&M), alterations, additions and improvement (AA&I) projects, building and facilities management;
(b) To supervise works performed by direct labourers and report on the works progress and performance;
(c) To assist in the formulation of maintenance schedules and programmes for building maintenance and various trades of building services installations, and preparation and compilation of annual budget relating to R&M, AA&I projects and building management;
(d) To undertake investigations of building management / systems / facilities and make recommendations for improvement;
(e) To prepare sketches, layouts and cost estimates for R&M and AA&I projects and coordinate with other disciplines;
(f) To arrange and conduct specific investigation and surveys into environmental measures;
(g) To check and verify on-site materials and its proper deployment;
(h) To monitor on-site safety regulations being properly observed; and
(i) To liaise and collaborate with counterparts in the Council, public officers, consultants, contractors and utility companies on matters relating to the execution or scheduling of works.
Requirements :
(a) A recognised higher diploma in building services, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent; preferably with a recognised degree in relevant field;
(b) At least 5 years’ relevant experience in supervision of building services contractors;
(c) Solid knowledge in building services works and preferably in other disciplines relating to the construction industry;
(d) Preferably with work experience in handling term maintenance contracts;
(e) Proficiency in English and Chinese; and
(f) Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
Notes :
(1) The post is in the rank of “Facilities Management Officer”.
(2) Appointees would be offered an annual salary with no less than HK$510K.
(3) Appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
