Our client is a Billion Dollar revenue consumer electronics company, with a strong sustainability mission backed by committed investment.   They have close to 10,000 employees worldwide with own manufacturing sites globally.  To strengthen the HVAC business and portfolio, they are now looking for a seasoned Procurement Engineer to join them.  

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• You will be the subject matter expert and play a critical role in supporting the HVAC Business Unit, from a commercial and technical perspective on effective commodities/ procurement strategy, and to support NPI projects.
• You will conduct frequent visits to suppliers evaluating and auditing their sites, with the aim to validate and identify the right suppliers for the business. 
• You will conduct cost & benefit analysis to drive effective cost solutions; and also manage the RFI / RFQ, and BOM evaluation process.
• You will be a key business partner in the division working closely with multiple stakeholders internationally to achieve product and cost initiatives.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering coupled with strong knowledge of HVAC, especially heat pump construction, material selection and manufacturing
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical products/ commodities preferred
• Ability to work independently and equally well across different functions internally and externally
• Fluency in Chinese and English language; while knowledge of European language is an added bonus.

Position is based in Shenzhen, China with frequent traveling
