Your role

• To evaluate the changes of working practices and procedures, as well as the products to be adopted by Outside Plant staff (major on blockwiring & civil works)
• To establish and/or review specifications, drawings, engineering instructions and standard forms relating to blockwiring works & civil works items
• To evaluate and make acceptance tests on delivered new products to ensure they comply with the specifications
• To liaise and co-ordinate with other working groups or Government Departments for the standardisation of working procedures and telecommunication facilities
• To ensure outside plant items are of reasonable price and reasonable quality by compilation of technical specification and by technical evaluation of the offered products from tenderers
• To administer civil works and blockwiring works term contracts and specification
• To investigate and study the possible solutions to solve the technical problems in relation to the outside plant network, as raised
• To carry out Deputy Quality Management Representatives functional responsibilities for Civil Works Procedures

To succeed in this role

• Holder of Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification, with 3 years' relevant work experience, or
• Holder of Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in relevant engineering disciplines plus 8 years' relevant experience in telecommunications 
• Strong interpersonal skill, negotiation and communication skills
• Experience in project management 
• Mature, responsible and can meet tight timelines
